Just found a rather interesting article that suggests Vitamin 'D' taken over a period of three (3) years, might add to a cancer patient's longevity.
The article is:
"Role of vitamin D supplementation for primary prevention of cancer: Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. Samji et al 2019", DOI: 10.1200/JCO.2019.37.15_suppl.1534 Journal of Clinical Oncology 37, no. 15_suppl (May 20 2019) pp. 1534-1534. (Published Online – May 26, 2019)
In the Conclusion, it states the following:
"Our study highlights that the use of Vitamin D supplementation for primary prevention of cancer is important as it does decrease cancer-related mortality once cancer is diagnosed, however it has no role or effect on cancer incidence."
Hmmm...? Might be time to stock up on a good Vit' D supplement...?
Usually, in my FBCs my Vitamin D levels are always well below the healthy range. Even though I am out in the sunlight quite regularly cycling etc...
Anyways, just thought some of you might find this one of interest too...
Stay happy & well
